Parent Proxy Access: Complete Setup & Sign-In Guide
If you are having trouble logging into your Parent Proxy account, follow this step-by-step guide to ensure your Google security settings are configured correctly and you can successfully access MyHive.
Before You Begin: Clear Existing Sessions
To prevent account conflicts, you must completely sign out of any personal Google accounts currently active in your browser.
⚠️ Important: Go to accounts.google.com/logout to fully sign out of Google before proceeding.
Phase 1: Enable 2-Step Verification (2SV)
Google requires 2-Step Verification to secure your proxy account. You only need to complete this setup once.
1. Access Google Security Settings:
Go to the official Google 2-Step Verification Setup Guide.
2. Sign In with Your Proxy Email:
When prompted by Google, sign in using your official parent proxy email address.
3. Configure and Verify 2SV:
Follow the on-screen prompts to link your phone or security device. Once complete, return to your account's Security & sign-in page. Confirm that a green checkmark is visible and it explicitly states "On since [Date Enabled]".

Phase 2: Signing Into MyHive
Once your 2-Step Verification is active, you can access your student's portal.
1.Navigate to the Portal:
Open a browser window and go to MyHive.lynchburg.edu.
2. If Prompted, Select Proxy Google Account:
If the system prompts you to choose an account, select your official @proxy.lynchburg.edu email address.
3. Select the Student:
A pop-up window will appear asking you to choose your "Person Proxy". Select your student's name from the list, then click Continue.
4. Access Granted
You will be redirected to the main dashboard. You can now view all academic and financial records your student has authorized you to see.
